Merry Christmas

Well Christmas was pretty mellow this year. We got up on Christmas morning and went to church, then we just kinda hung out all day waiting for Zack and Jesse to get there to start opening gifts. Mom started dinner about 2 o'clock, and Dad and I sat in the living room and watched John Wayne movies all afternoon. Adam called me in the morning from Bahrain to wish me a Merry Christmas. I think his day was OK. This is the second Christmas in a row that he's been deployed for. Hopefully next year he'll be home. That would be a nice change.

This is new

So here is my first blog post! It's kinda weird. I'm not sure what to say. Right now Adam and I are planning our wedding. It's all really exciting. We really don't know where we will end up living after we are married. Right now the plan is for me to come back to IL and Adam is going to stay in Hawaii (I wish I didn't have to come back!). Then I'll move out to wherever Adam is stationed after he changes commands. 

Right now, Adam is deployed in the Middle East. He really misses being home for the holidays because he was deployed last holiday season also. Hopefully next year he can be with family and friends, but with the military, we'll have to wait until next year to see if that's going to happen or not. I am finishing up school. I graduate in May of 2009, and I couldn't be more excited!
